the Temple of Flux (2010) at Burning Man, invite you to an evening of big art, fire and community. This month, Flux brings its newest creation, BrollyFlock, to Las Vegas – a 30-foot flock of interactive renegade umbrellas that have flown out of our hands and out of our control. They’ve discovered their own potential, turning the tables on us: soaking us with water, changing their colors and bursting into flame.
This salon will feature:
* BrollyFlock component umbrellas with lights and flame effects
* A brief presentation of Flux’s collaborative work (fresh from our TED audition)
* Soundtrack by the Space Cowboys

just three months, more than 250 volunteers designed, built, and burned five mountains that provided physical and spiritual shelter for event participants. The Flux Foundation has continued to deliver innovative, collaborative work across the country. Flux has brought hundreds of artists
together to collaborate on installations experienced by more than 200,000 people.
This month, we are bringing our newest creation, BrollyFlock, to Las Vegas to be shown at the Electric Daisy Carnival. We are excited about sharing our work with the Las Vegas community. At this salon, we’ll give you a preview of some of BrollyFlocks interactive effects, including our adorable brollies on fire, and we’ll engage in a lively discussion about how how to build art through community and build community through art.
We hope you join us for this evening of building new relationships, sharing ideas and lighting up the night with brollies.
The Flux Foundation is nonprofit that engages people in designing and building large-scale public art as a catalyst for education, collaboration and empowerment.
